Peace, one and all…

O Luna, thou are fair!

O Luna, ancient moon, thou are fair!
Your silver threads light up the darkness,
guiding weary travellers home.

O Luna, thou are fair!
I gaze skyward at your milk-white loveliness,
standing free in bright purity
above the low places of this world.

O Luna, thou are fair!
Many words of love have Adam’s children fashioned,
in awe of you,
for your light has at times touched us all.

O Luna, thou art fair!
The love I bear you causes ink to stir
and my tongue to flow.
Many have lost themselves
in gazing at you,
becoming luna-tics in all truth.

O Luna, thou art fair!
Men have fashioned you in their own imaginings:
lover, guide, goddess, thief.

But, bright moon
these are mere guesses all,
and your love lies under One Love,
Whose Blessed Hand alone
caused you to glow

recently a very special soul passed over, she was my beautifull dog Luna. her full title was ‘The loveliness of luna’ and she brought much light and love to me and all that crossed her path. this poem sums up all that she has reflected in me and i will always be gratefull to her for bringing me back to the light of the goddess. she came to me as a st bernard -the rescue dog- and she rescued me. i feel sadness that her life here ended when she was so young (16mths) but in that short time she filled me with joy and so when i feel sad i remember that she has return to light from which we al come. many thanks to the author that has shared these wise words.
    blessed be
